Morphology
A perennial herb usually found spreading in moist grounds. The branches are hairy and reddish-brown. The adventitious roots are found growing at nodes. The leaves are simple, lance-like with toothed margin and hairy. The flowers are white, small and arranged in small clusters, which resemble small asters. The flowering stalk arises from the axis of the leaf. Fruits are cypsela.
