Morphology:
Large, woody, twining shrub, pubescent when young. Leaves – simple, opposite, elliptic or ovate, with the rounded or cordate base with short petioles. Flowers – small, greenish-yellow in umbellate cymes, spirally arranged. Calyx pubescent, divided to the base. Fruits – slender, follicles up to 7.5 cm long. Seeds are flat with a marginal wing. Plant flowers and fruits in March-June
